Nine years ago this August Mac came up with an idea of calling the new Cigar Bar and Sports Lounge, located in the heart of BJ’s building complex, Smokey Joe’s, after the Legend of Smokey Joe’s Lair.** The name stuck and has grown in fame over the years, becoming known in our region as a real part of the Cigar World’s networking culture. Cigar Clubs from all over meet here at Smokey Joe’s.
Mac asked
Vickie what a “ Short Story” was and she said “Is that a book? “ Mac said no it is a Fuentes’ Cigar, with that
introduction into the world of Cigars Vickie became the Manager of Smokey
Joe’s. She believes in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the Sports Bar
and Lounge. Bartenders and wait staff are very professional. You can kick back
have a cocktail or beverage and smoke your cigar. A bar for business and
professional people to be welcomed into, every client is treated as a V.I.P.
You can
bring your laptop, wifi is available, and get your work done in a homey,
comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, as it is quieter in the day time.
The lights
go down in the evenings with several TVs showing a variety of games. Low key
music or an occasional movie plays in the bar.
Recently
renovated to add 1800 square feet of space, new men’s and ladies restrooms,
increased seating of approximately 35, including a covered, open deck with
comfy wicker furniture.
The star of
the new expansion is the New Large Glass Walk In Humidor. Another Tobaconist
has been added to the staff for a total of 3 Tobaconists that are available for
clients.
Smokey Joe’s
