$20,000 Donation to the FIFE food Bank!

One of the goals of BJ’s is to give back to the community in which we do business.  What better way than to provide support to the Fife food bank.  Today Fred, Marie and Pat, board members for the fife food bank are here to accept our donation.   One of our goals for the past few years has been to provide monetary support to the fife food bank so that they can provide food to individuals in need and the fife food bank accomplishes that goal with compassion, dignity and respect.  This $20,000 donation is  ultimately given by our players.  Thanks to ALL of our our Loyal Players!!!

Set aside Memorial Weekend for some Bingo!

A most exciting weekend in Bingo is coming up May 24^th, 25^th, and 26^th all 9 sessions!

ZOOM BALL! That’s right ! We will have 33 drawings each AM and Moon session, with PM sessions having 34 drawings for a chance to come try their luck at pressing the big red Zoom Ball button to see how many Gold balls will go up the Tube!

If your name is called, when you press the big red button and 6 Gold balls go up the tube you would be the winner of $100,000 !

If 5 Gold balls go up the tube you could win $1000 and if 4 Gold balls go up the tube you could win $500 !

In order to receive a drawing ticket you must purchase one pack and the bonus ball, you will receive a ticket, put your drawing ticket in the Session Jar that you will be attending.

Speed Bingo - Friday May 16

WIN in 15 numbers or Less in the Speed Room and all players at the WINNING table play to WIN $100,000 (Maximum of 50 Players). Zoomball machine is currently set up in the Speed Room.

Saturday May 24th, Sunday May 25th and Monday May 26th 

100 Players each day will try their luck at the Zoomball Machine.  Players will be selected using daily drawing tickets deposited by players all month in the session drawing jars. Winning names will be announced between games on May 24th, 25th and 26th.  Drawing winners play to WIN up to $100,000 during intermission! (Maximum of 300 players during the memorial day weekend).

Improvements Through The Years

BJ’s Bingo is always improving the playing experience for our customers. Improvements range from renovations of the building to creating comfortable space for our clients.

Our Food and Beverage Department alone has changed from offering a simple menu of hot dogs, popcorn, sodas and coffee at a little tiny counter to a full service menu.

Thirty four years ago the menu was simple, as time passed we added homemade p-nut butter and chocolate chip cookies and pineapple upside down cake to the menu.

At one point they closed down for kitchen renovations. While closed down they made sandwiches on bingo tables before the doors opened and had snacks like jerky and chips for our hungry bingo players.

Anne Haus was hired to work in the kitchen and potato salad and hot soup was added to the menu.  Later on Edna Cooper started cooking breakfasts, and burgers and fries were added to the cold sandwiches and hotdogs.

John and Hayward began to cook and they started making specials of the day, homemade soups and expanding the menu with more variety.

When we did our last major renovation many things changed in the food and beverage department. A full service kitchen with a steam table and salad bar, as well as a pizza oven and grills and deep fryers in the kitchen created an expansion of delectable choices for our customers.

We also added such wonderful food areas as the Candy Bar offering delicious treats and lattes as well as having a fully stocked bar.

Did I mention bar? We have 4 bar locations at BJ’s The Candy Bar, The Bison Bar, Smokey Joe’s Cigar Bar and Lounge, and the Casino Bar.

BJ’s has always offered hot dogs on the menu, why? Simply because they are a favorite of the founder of our company, BJ herself.

We still sell an all beef hotdog for only $2.75 with all the condiments you need. If you like yours a bit fancier you can get a polish dog or a jalapeno dog for just $3.00.

So the next time you plan to come down and try your luck at BJ’s, remember you can do it all here in one location, dinner and a cocktail, a game of bingo, dessert and espresso, and Slots or Speed Bingo, or you can relax up in Smokey Joe’s Cigar Bar and Lounge.

Building Progress!

 

BJ’s is in the midst of a very exciting renovation!

One of the renovations is to make an enlarged seating area for Smokey Joe’s Cigar Bar and Lounge. Additionally there will be an open air balcony. One exciting new feature will be a walk in Cigar Humidifier!

We are also creating a new location for Speed Bingo to be played. There will be a more intimate setting in the new Speed room. We will go from 48 seats down to 40 seats. We have two great improvements to enhance the player’s experience; a better HVAC system and an improved sound system.

Speed Bingo will soon be located more in the center of our building complex. By moving Speed Bingo to the center, that will open up the room it previously occupied to become a smoke free Slot room.

Having a completely smoke free zone for Slot Style gaming will be a great addition for our players.

This is the seventh renovation that BJ’s has undergone, all renovations have been done to enhance the player’s experience and to better accommodate customer’s needs.

New Player Unit System Coming Soon

 

We are always striving to improve our customer’s experience here at BJ’s Bingo. One of our recent ideas has been to look at a new program called Hedge that could replace the program in the players units.

After much research and testing we decided to invite 50 players to play a special Hedge testing session and let us know what they thought of the new graphics and how it played. We asked them to fill out a quick questionnaire after the short session. We had 16 players who found that there were playing issues for them with the new system, and 34 players really loved it.

Our 50 invitees for the most part, enjoyed playing on the new screens, but did not appreciate the new “Vegas Style” calling method that the system worked with. We have now found another way to give them the great graphics, and by removing the ball being called from the players screen we could continue to call the way we always have. We are waiting now to make sure that every issue is resolved perfectly and will continue to test before we can determine if it is in the player’s best interest to make the change.

 If you just found our blog, a great big welcome to you! If you are returning, thank you for being patient as we begin developing this site for you!

News Flash on the changes we made to our bingo sessions December 1^st is that our players love it! They like the fact that all of the sessions are sold at the same prices except Saturday night when all the games pay $1000, and our once a month exciting Cosmic Session.  The consistency in the buy in makes it so much easier for people to purchase quickly and have more time for fun!

Our new Double Action Jackpot game is a very popular addition to our game schedule. The Jackpot starts at $2000 in 32 numbers. The Jackpot increases each session, when the Jackpot reaches $10,000 is when we begin to progress the numbers each session until the Jackpot is won. We started this new Jackpot the first of December, since then the Double Action Jackpot has been won 8 times! No wonder it is such a popular Jackpot game.
