Family Bingo Day at BJ's

BJ’s Bingo has been sponsoring a “Kid’s Day Session” starting with the year we opened in 1980. As time has passed it has grown in popularity and evolved over the years.

Two things remain consistent. The children play actual bingo games for free, and we do drawings for prizes for them as well.

We have always had dedicated staff work with the children every year. Diligently teaching, and encouraging participation, while keeping them safe. This year we went with a new idea, and created our first Family Invitational Day, with Moms, Dads, Grandmas, or Grandpas invited as well. This new concept was very well received, customers qualified by attendance throughout the year, bringing up to 3 children in to play for free as well as themselves on the Day of the Family Invitational.

We welcomed everyone in with a Special Schedule featuring $200 games with the last game paying $500, and seventy five drawings for great prizes, to include bikes and Xboxes.  The Session paid $10,000 Total in cash and prizes.

To entertain our early bird guests we featured a crafts game with bags filled with fun items for our families to create a family flag to take home.  Our special child friendly menu with adjusted pricing, and the piece’ de’ resistance’ a unique candy bar, by devoted staff from Mr. Ray’s Café.

Everyone had a great time, and to ensure that all of our young guests left feeling like winners our parting gift this year was a drawstring backpack with an emoji motif on it.

Here’s to another 36 years of serving our customers and their families the best bingo ever.

BJ's Bingo Bonanza is an exciting WIN for James

All of the AM Session’s players came to Bingo that morning and bought their usual amount of Bonanza cards for the Bonanza game. Little did they know that something special was going to happen that morning.

The caller pulled the first 45 numbers for everyone to premark their cards, then when it is time for the game to play we continue on for a black out. At first it seemed as though everything was going on as usual, but then, drum roll………. it happened!

One lucky customer, James, had bought the winning card for Bonanza in the first 45 numbers called winning $15,071 before the session even started !!!!  What an exciting win, one everyone would like to be able to brag about, a win like that is like a hole in one during a golf tournament!

BJ’s, ever thoughtful to all players, played the Bonanza any way for an additional consolation of $500 so that everyone would have a chance to play the game.  

Annual Kid's Day Bingo

The Annual Kid’s Day Bingo Event is this Saturday August 15^th from Noon to 2 Pm!   Please remember to bring your FREE entry tickets with your Child or Grandchild.  Doors will open at 11 AM. 

The Younger kids’, ages 8,9 and 10, will play upstairs.  Kids will play ‘Carnival style’ games for prizes from noon to 1 pm and bingo for $100 Gift Certificates from 1 Pm to 2 Pm.  In addition, we will have lots of drawing prizes that the kids will LOVE!

The Older kids’, ages 11-17 will play downstairs.  Kid’s will play ‘Minute-To-Win It’ style’ games for prizes from noon to 1 Pm and play bingo for $100 Gift Certificates from 1 Pm to 2 Pm.  We have lots of age appropriate drawing prizes that the kids will Love throughout the event!

Tips:  Teach your children about bingo, including the numbers in each row.

BJ’s Gives Back to the Community

It is well known that during the Holidays people are filled with the spirit of giving. No one wants anyone else to do without, it is a time of the year when Food Banks are well stocked and donations pour in.

After the Holidays the need is just as great, but sadly the donations do not come in quite as frequently.

BJ’s is a consistent donor to the Fife Food Bank. This year we held a raffle on Christmas Day PM session, for the prize of a 55 inch TV to raise funds.

As a result of the employees selling raffle tickets and our supportive customers purchasing them we were able to donate another $1020 to the Fife Food Bank.

We were very happy to give to this worthy cause on Monday Jan. 12^th. Thank you BJ’s customers !

Smokey Joe’s more than just a bar.

Nine years ago this August Mac came up with an idea of calling the new Cigar Bar and Sports Lounge, located in the heart of BJ’s building complex, Smokey Joe’s, after the Legend of Smokey Joe’s Lair.** The name stuck and has grown in fame over the years, becoming known in our region as a real part of the Cigar World’s networking culture. Cigar Clubs from all over meet here at Smokey Joe’s.

Mac asked Vickie what a “ Short Story” was and she said “Is that a book? “  Mac said no it is a Fuentes’ Cigar, with that introduction into the world of Cigars Vickie became the Manager of Smokey Joe’s. She believes in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the Sports Bar and Lounge. Bartenders and wait staff are very professional. You can kick back have a cocktail or beverage and smoke your cigar. A bar for business and professional people to be welcomed into, every client is treated as a V.I.P.

You can bring your laptop, wifi is available, and get your work done in a homey, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, as it is quieter in the day time.

The lights go down in the evenings with several TVs showing a variety of games. Low key music or an occasional movie plays in the bar.

Recently renovated to add 1800 square feet of space, new men’s and ladies restrooms, increased seating of approximately 35, including a covered, open deck with comfy wicker furniture.

The star of the new expansion is the New Large Glass Walk In Humidor. Another Tobaconist has been added to the staff for a total of 3 Tobaconists that are available for clients.

BJ’s has just made it easier for you to stay connected with every department at BJ’s, every day.
The brand new BJ’s Bingo & Gaming app is now on the Apple app store and Google play store and available to download.
The app features all of BJ’s current specials and events information from each department as well as all current jackpot information.  You’ll be seeing more QR codes around the hall as we offer more QR Specials in the app for your scanning pleasure.  Planning to attend our next big event, let everyone know in the Event Attendance tab and leave your comments and photos for others to enjoy. 
App users will also receive Alert Notifications, of special interest, right on your mobile device. Apple devices receive these as text messages, these messages on android devices can be found in the Message Center tab.  These messages will include notification of extra large jackpots, instant specials, open/close weather info, etc.  There is also a ‘Share’ button right on the home page to share the app with family and friends.
